We are a service-area business and do not operate from a public-facing office, so we don't publish a street address.
We only collect what we need to respond to enquiries and deliver our services:
We do not knowingly collect financial account details, government ID numbers, or any special category data through this website.
Our legal basis for this processing is: your consent (marketing emails, non-essential cookies), performance of a contract or steps towards one (responding to quote requests and delivering services), and our legitimate interest in running and improving this website.
We use the following third-party tools on this site. Where a tool is not strictly necessary for the site to function, we only run it with your consent.
You can control cookies through your browser settings, and most browsers let you block or delete them. Blocking some cookies may affect how the site works. Where we use a cookie consent banner, you can also change your preferences there at any time.
We share personal data with the third-party service providers above, each acting as a processor under their own terms and privacy policies: Google (Analytics, Ads, Site Kit), Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd (Meta Pixel), Microsoft (Clarity), MailerLite, and GoHighLevel/LeadConnector. We also share data with our website hosting provider so the site can run.
We do not sell your personal data. We only share it beyond the above where required by law, or to protect our legal rights.
Some of the providers listed above are based in, or transfer data to, the United States or other countries outside the UK. Where this happens, the provider is either certified under an approved data protection framework (such as the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework) or we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses to ensure your data is protected to UK standards.
We keep enquiry and client data for as long as needed to deliver our services and meet our legal and accounting obligations, and then delete or anonymise it. Analytics and advertising data is retained according to each provider's own default retention settings (typically 14 months for Google Analytics). You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time, which stops further emails and removes you from active campaigns.
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
To exercise any of these rights, email ryan@codexwebdevelopment.co.uk. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator.
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the personal data we hold, including restricting access and keeping our website software up to date. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
We may update this policy from time to time, for example when we add or remove a tool from our site. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when it last changed. Significant changes will be reflected here; please check back periodically.
If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your data, contact us at ryan@codexwebdevelopment.co.uk or call 01843 278924.
